This Privacy Policy explains how Family Shift Orchestrator (the "App") handles information when you use the App.
1. Summary
Family Shift Orchestrator is designed as a local-first schedule organization tool. The current App features do not require an account, do not provide cloud synchronization, and do not sell personal information.
2. Information You Enter
The App may store information that you choose to enter, such as:
- Household or group name.
- Member display names, color labels, and ordering.
- Shift times, task names, assignments, replacements, and cancellations.
- Conflict records, checkpoint status, failure reasons, and schedule history.
- App preferences, notification timing, language, theme, conflict rules, and share templates.
This information is used to provide schedule boards, conflict checks, checkpoint lists, reminders, summaries, import/export features, and related App functionality.
3. Local Storage
The App stores schedule data and preferences locally on your device using local app storage. The current App features do not upload your schedule database to a cloud account controlled by us. If you delete the App, iOS may remove locally stored App data according to iOS behavior.
4. Notifications
The App may request permission to send local notifications. Notifications are used to remind you about upcoming handoff or completion checkpoints. You can allow or deny notifications in iOS Settings. You can also adjust reminder timing in the App where available.
5. Export and Sharing
The App may let you export a JSON snapshot or share a generated schedule summary through the iOS share sheet. These actions happen only when you choose to start them. When you share or export data, the selected destination, recipient, or third-party app may process the shared content under its own privacy policy.
6. Data We Do Not Collect Through Current App Features
Based on the current App features, the App does not require:
- Account registration or sign-in.
- Location access.
- Camera access.
- Microphone access.
- Contacts access.
- Photos access.
- Payment information.
- Health data access.
- App Tracking Transparency permission for advertising tracking.
7. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
The current App features are not designed to track users across apps or websites for advertising. We do not sell personal information. If future versions add analytics, cloud services, or other integrations, this Privacy Policy should be updated before those features are released.
8. Data Control
You can edit or remove many schedule items inside the App, including members, tasks, assignments, checkpoint status, and preferences where supported. You can also overwrite local schedule data by importing a supported data snapshot when the App provides that option.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is a general schedule organization tool and is not directed to children under 13. Do not enter sensitive information about children unless you have the right to do so and it is appropriate for your schedule management needs.
10. Security
We use local app storage and platform features to operate the App. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so you should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information and be careful when exporting or sharing schedule data.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be identified by its effective date.
